On a 24x run, I know you can't get evidence, but the false ghost orb still shows up (since its not real evidence, and a very quick identifier for a mimic).

Before, you had to do a custom challenge to get the multiplier high enough. Try making a custom difficulty instead (you can just copy the insanity mode settings if you wish) and use that instead.
